A Meaningful Journey of Awareness in Nafplio

As SYNESIS PIGI AMKE, a platform dedicated to the empowerment, visibility, and protection of women, our trip to Nafplio on November 16 took on a deeper meaning this year. In recognition of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women – November 25, we transformed our excursion into an opportunity for reflection, awareness, and solidarity.

The enchanting city of Nafplio, with its rich history, neoclassical charm, the iconic Palamidi Fortress, and the stunning view of Bourtzi, offered the perfect backdrop for conversations about women’s rights, safety, and empowerment. As we walked through its historic streets, we exchanged thoughts on the importance of building a society where every woman can live freely, safely, and with dignity.

During our visit, we also honored Semni Karouzo, one of Greece’s most inspiring female archaeologists. Her courage, dedication to science, and perseverance despite challenges stand as a powerful reminder of women’s strength and potential in every field.

For us, November 25 is not just a symbolic date;

It is a commitment— a call to action for a world where all women live free from violence and fear.

At SYNESIS PIGI AMKE, we will continue to work tirelessly to empower women, strengthen solidarity, and raise awareness against all forms of gender-based violence.
