The Power of Women’s Solidarity: A Meaningful Visit in Athens
Synesis Pigi AMKE Supports 87 Children in Athens with Educational Supplies
As Synesis Pigi AMKE Women Empowerment Platform, we carried out a meaningful collaboration with Amina Day Center in Athens, following a referral from UNHCR Greece.
At this center, which provides a safe space for migrant and refugee women while supporting their social inclusion and empowerment, we experienced a truly inspiring and heartfelt day together with our volunteers.
As part of this visit, we donated 87 school bags for children of different age groups. Each bag was carefully prepared and filled with essential stationery items such as notebooks, pens, and art supplies. This meaningful contribution was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Time To Help Nederland Foundation.
We were warmly welcomed by the center’s team, who shared their impactful work supporting women and children. During a guided tour led by Ms. Aloisia, we had the opportunity to learn more about their psychosocial support programs, educational activities, and social integration initiatives.
This visit was not only a donation activity but also a powerful example of solidarity, empathy, and building a stronger future together.
As Synesis Pigi AMKE, we remain committed to supporting women’s empowerment and reaching more lives through international cooperation.
