A​​s part of the Women’s Empowerment Platform, SYNESIS PIGI AMKE visited AMAMÉ INITIATIVE AMURTEL Greece with the aim of strengthening communication and cooperation between the two organizations.

AMAMÉ INITIATIVE AMURTEL Greece works to support women, mothers, and children, with a particular focus on the needs of refugees and migrant women. Its activities include support during pregnancy and the postpartum period, information and counselling on health, breastfeeding, infant nutrition and childcare, as well as social support and connection to available services.

During our visit, and in response to the needs communicated to us by the AMAMÉ INITIATIVE AMURTEL team, we provided dry food supplies for 25 families, as well as baby diapers.

Inés Fernández Ruiz and the team warmly welcomed us, introduced us to the work and activities of AMAMÉ INITIATIVE AMURTEL Greece, and gave us a tour of their facilities. The meeting was a valuable opportunity to learn more about their work, exchange experiences, and discuss the needs of the women and families they support.

For SYNESIS PIGI AMKE, this meeting represents another step towards developing meaningful partnerships with organizations working in the fields of women’s empowerment, social inclusion, family support, and solidarity.

We were very pleased to agree to continue our communication and explore opportunities for joint activities and initiatives in the future, with the aim of providing meaningful support to women, mothers, and families in need.
