On 19 June 2026, the “Miltiadis Evert” Amphitheatre at Technopolis City of Athens became a vibrant meeting point for young people brought together through the universal language of music. Organized by Synesis Pigi AMKE, the 2nd Athens Music Festival welcomed young performers, musicians, music educators, and audiences from different cultural backgrounds for an unforgettable Final Night.

More than a music competition, the festival provided an international platform where young people could express themselves, showcase their talent, and demonstrate the courage to perform on stage alongside participants from diverse cultures. After months of preparation, the finalists shared not only their voices but also their dedication, passion, and dreams with the audience.

The evening officially opened with welcome addresses by Mr. Kostis Papaioannou, President of Technopolis City of Athens, representing the Mayor of Athens, Mr. Haris Doukas, Ms. Roxani Bei, President of OPANDA (Organization for Culture, Sports and Youth of the City of Athens), and Ms. Dina Tziouri, Coordinator of Refugee Week Greece. Their speeches highlighted the importance of youth empowerment, intercultural dialogue, and the unifying power of the arts.

The festival also featured guest singers from Germany, Romania, Albania, North Macedonia, and Georgia, alongside performances by traditional Greek folk dance groups, reflecting the festival’s commitment to cultural diversity and international friendship.

The finalists were evaluated by an international jury consisting of distinguished professionals: Rosanna Mailan, Panagiotis Gravaris, Mishela Rapo, Eleni Tsagkaraki, and Giannis Matsoukas.

The winners of the competition were:

• 12–15 Age Category: Stefania Douraki
• 16–19 Age Category: Filio Kessarea
• 20–23 Age Category: Evgenia Savchuk

Awards were presented to the winners of each category, while all finalists and guest performers received Certificates of Participation in recognition of their contribution to the festival. Members of the international jury, cultural groups, and guest artists were also honored with Certificates of Appreciation.

One of the most memorable moments of the evening came when all finalists and guest singers joined together to perform “Universal Peace.” Their collective performance delivered a powerful message of peace, friendship, solidarity, and unity through music.

The 2nd Athens Music Festival once again demonstrated that music has the power to transcend borders, connect cultures, and inspire young people to express themselves with confidence and creativity. More than a competition, it became a celebration of diversity, artistic excellence, and international cooperation.
