ECOMOTION: Active Youth, Creative Minds, Healthy Earth
The EcoMotion: Active Youth, Creative Minds, Healthy Earth project has been successfully completed, bringing together young people from Austria and Greece for an inspiring week of learning, cultural exchange, and environmental action.
Implemented in partnership with Lernpoint, an educational institution and language school based in Austria, the project created a meaningful space where young people could develop new skills, build international friendships, and explore sustainable ways of living.
Project Overview
– Participants: 30 young people
– Age Group: 15–25 years
– Countries: Austria & Greece
– Duration: 7 days
– Partner Organisation: Lernpoint (Austria)
Throughout the exchange, participants actively engaged in a variety of educational, cultural, and environmental activities designed to promote active citizenship, environmental responsibility, and intercultural understanding.
Activities
During the seven-day programme, participants:
– Took part in a beach clean-up campaign, contributing directly to the protection of the local environment.
– Explored historical and cultural landmarks, discovering the rich heritage of the host community.
– Experienced local traditions through traditional Greek cuisine and cultural activities.
– Participated in workshops and group discussions on environmental awareness, sustainable living, and youth participation.
– Worked together in multicultural teams, strengthening communication, cooperation, and intercultural dialogue.
Impact
EcoMotion offered participants much more than an international mobility experience. Throughout the project, they developed greater environmental awareness, strengthened their social and communication skills, and gained valuable intercultural experiences.
By living, learning, and working together, young people discovered that protecting the environment is a shared responsibility that transcends borders and cultures.
The friendships formed during the exchange continue beyond the project, creating a network of motivated young people committed to building a more sustainable future.
Conclusion
EcoMotion demonstrated that when young people come together with a common purpose, they can create meaningful change for both their communities and the environment.
The project concluded with unforgettable memories, lasting international friendships, and a renewed commitment to environmental protection and active citizenship.
In the end, everyone won—friendship grew stronger, cultures came closer, and nature benefited from our collective efforts.
Together, we proved that small actions can make a big difference for a healthier planet and a brighter future.
