A​​s Synesis Pigi AMKE, in partnership with the Municipality of Athens, we launched a large-scale reforestation initiative, made possible by the dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of our supporters.

Carried out in two phases in December 2025:

• On December 7, 2025, more than 600 young trees were planted along the Evelpidon slope.
• On December 20, 2025, a second phase added 500 more trees and shrubs, bringing the total to over 1,100 plantings.

The effort was supported by Athens Deputy Mayor for Green Spaces Georgios Apostolopoulos and Deputy Mayor for Migrant and Refugee Social Integration Thanasis Chimonas, along with enthusiastic participation from students of the Experimental School of the University of Athens. Our close collaboration with the Athina Pedion tou Areos Association and the “To Parko Mas” (Our Park) organization was essential to making this project a reality.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers who worked the land, and to every donor who supported this cause — especially our main sponsor, Enes Kanter Freedom. Without their generosity, this grove would not be breathing new life today.
