O​​n the occasion of International Literacy Day, SYNESIS PIGI AMKE organized the event “Picnic with a Book” on Friday, 18 September 2026, at Flisvos Park in Athens.

The activity offered a wonderful opportunity for families, children, and young people to come together in an open, natural environment and share their love for books and reading.

Surrounded by greenery, accompanied by the songs of birds and cicadas, breathing the fresh air and enjoying the sea view, participants brought their favorite books and spent a peaceful afternoon dedicated to reading, learning, and meaningful connection.

The warm and enthusiastic participation made the event truly special. Beyond reading, the picnic created a welcoming space where people of different ages and backgrounds could meet, interact, and enjoy quality time together.

For SYNESIS PIGI AMKE, promoting education, culture, literacy, and social participation is an important part of our mission. Through simple and open activities like this, we aim to create opportunities for dialogue, coexistence, and community engagement.
